Private Patrick Diihfqrd, who was killed on the •Western Front on December 12, 1917, at the age of 25 years, was educated at St. Patrick's School, South Dunedin, and at the Christian Brothers’ School, Dunedin.;.. He was the sixth son of Mr. William Dunford,
contractor, Anderson’s Bay, with whom he was employed at- the time of his enlistment in the 27th Reinforcements. A brother of the deceased soldier was badly wounded at the battle of Messines, another brother is at the front,, and . two others are at present in camp.—R.l.P, .
