Palmerston North

(From our own correspondent.) May 20. I regret to record the death of Mr. Zier Maree, which took place on Sunday last, after ,an illness of nearly twelve months. The late Mr. Maree was a wellknown and highly-respected citizen of Palmerston North. He was a devoted Catholic, and also a member of the Hibernian Society. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, and was largely attended by friends and many Hibernians. The widow and family of the deceased have been the recipients of many expressions of sympathy from friends in other parts of the Dominion, testifying to the esteem in which the late Mr. Maree was held. Rev. Father Forrestal officiated at the graveside. At the usual meeting of the Hibernian Society on Tuesday evening a vote of condolence was passed with the widow and family of the late member. R.I.P.
