(From an occasional correspondent.) The feast of the Apostle of Ireland was celebrated in the usual manner ab Methven. Mass was said at 9 a.m., and the large congregation joined in the singing of Hail, glorious St. Patrick,' 'Faith of our fathers,' and other hymns. , In the evening the usual national concert was given in the Town Hall, which was crowded with an appreciative audience. Every item was enthusiastically applauded, and numerous encores - were demanded. During the interval, a beautifully , carved occasional table and a handsomely framed picture, which were presented to the local branch of the Red Cross Society by Rev. Dr. Kennedy, were auctioned. As a result of the bidding the Red Cross Fund receives the sum of £34.
