Stronac.h, Morris,' and Co., Ltd., report for week ended Tuesday, December 14, as follows: Rabbitskius.—We held a sale yesterday when .we submitted a small catalogue to the usual attendance of buyers. All lines were keenly competed for and values were considerably higher than those of last week. Quotations: Prime winter does, to 25£d ; second winter does, to 22 Ad; prime winter bucks, to 22Ad; second winter bucks, to 20^d; outgoing, to 19d; autumns, to 16d; prime racks, to lid; light racks, to 9id; best winter blacks, to 48d; second winter blacks, to 30d per lb. Catskins, 4id to 11 Ad each. Horsehair, to 18d per lb. Sheepskins.—-We held our fortnightly sale today, when we submitted a small catalogue to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition was fair and prices were about equal to last week’s values. Quotations; Best halfbred, to Hid : medium, to 10§d; best merino, to B|d; medium, to 7|d; best hoggets, to lOf-d ; medium, to 10]d per lb. Hides. —Our next sale will be held on Thursday, 16th hist. Oats. There has been a keen demand since our last report and stocks in store are now much lighter. There is a fair inquiry for shipping purposes. Quotations: Prime milling, 3s Id to 3s 2d; good to best feed, 2s lid to 3s per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat. There is a strong inquiry for wheat of all descriptions, and the market "is much firmer. Fowl wheat is in short supply and meets with a ready sale. Quotations: Prime milling, 5s 4d to 5s 6d : medium milling and best whole fowl wheat, 4s lUd to 5s 3d per bushel (sacks extra). Chaff.—Very few consignments are coming to hand, and all lines are meeting with a ready sale at quotations. Best oaten sheaf, £5 5s to £5 10s; medium to good, £4 15s to £5 per ton (sacks extra). Potatoes. — New potatoes are now supplanting the old season’s crop, and there is practically no demand for the latter even at reduced rates. Quotations: Freshly picked lots, £2 to £2 10s; others, from £1 per ton (sacks in).
