MUSICAL EXAMINATIONS

Five pupils were presented and all were successful: *■ A.T.C.L. (Practical)—Mary. Bolton, 72. —Erlynne Morris, 69. Intermediate — Wright, 80 (honors). Preparatory Esme Cate, 85 (honors); Christino Lacey, 83 (honors).
ST. MARY'S COLLEGE AND ST. JOSEPH'S CONVENT, WELLINGTON. (From our Wellington correspondent.) The following pupils of the Sisters of Mercy of St. Mary's College, Wellington, and St. Joseph's Convent, Newtown, were successful at the musical examination conducted by the representative of ' Trinity College, London: —■ A.T.C.L. (Practical)— Parker (St. Mary's), 84; Marjorie IT. Shepherd (St. Mary's), 76; Mary O'Neill (St. Mary's), 75; Mary E. Redican (St. Mary's), 70. Senior—Honors: Lavina Morgan (St. Mary's), 84 (singing). Pass: Ida Brooks (St. Mary's), 74. Intermediate—Honors: Elsia Kclleher (St. Joseph's), 87 : Pearl Evans (St. Joseph's), 81 ; Christina Dibley (St. Joseph's), 80 (singing).' Pass: Mary Hani on (St. Mary's), 60. Junior—Honors: Dorothy Ryan (St. Joseph's), winner of the Martha Myers' Memorial Medal, 92 ; Eva Lynch (St. Joseph's), 86 (singing) Naomi Morley (St. Joseph's), 82.
OTHER SUCCESSES. Miss K. Pagan, a Catholic lady of St. Anne's parish, was very successful in the recent examination. Six of her pupils passed, three with honors, including the winner (Mollie Fisher, 85) of the medal presented by an anonymous donor. The Misses E. and M. Gaynor, of Petone, were also successful in the recent examinations, held in connection with Trinity College. Eight of their pupils passed the examination. PALMERSTON NORTH. At the practical examinations by Mr. Myerscough, of Trinity College, London, the following pupils of the Palmerston North and Foxton Convents were successful;— Licentiate (L.T.C.L.)—Eileen Lynch (P.N. Convent), 71. (Theoretical work to be taken in December to complete certificate). Associate (A.T.C.L.)— Doris Millen (P.N. Convent), 70.
