ST. MARY'S SCHOOL, WESTPORT

St. Mary Schoolroom presented an animated; appearance on the afternoon of December 18, when the scholastic year was 'brought to a close. The prize list Was read, but the prizes, had been voluntarily and generously given up by the pupils to allow of all. donations being offered to the .British-Belgian relief fund. A few items of instrumental and vocal music were given by the pupils, and were very much appreciated: The annual report was read by the Ven. Archpriest Walshe, who afterwards gave a short address touching on the nature of the report, and emphasised the fact that the education given at the college embraced all the subjects most likely to develop the hand, head, and heart of the child. The needlework, paintings, and drawings executed during the year were then viewed, and much admired.
