' , There was a very large attendance at the euchre party which was held in St. Joseph’s Hall on Tuesday evening. The lady’s prize was won by Miss B. O’Connell, and the gentleman’s by Mrs. Cullinane (who acted in that capacity). Special praise is due the ladies’ committee, with Miss K Cullinane' as secretary, ' and also to Mr. J. D. Roche. The Forty Hours’ Adoration began in St. Mary’s on last Friday morning with Solemn High Mass, Rev. Father Kelly, C.SS.R., being celebrant. Rev. Father S. Mahoney, S.M., deacon, Rev. Father Yibaud, S.M., subdeacon, and Rev. lather N. Moloney, S.M., master of ceremonies. There was a procession afterwards, and devotions in the evening. On Saturday morning there was a Missa Cantata, Pro Pace, sung by Rev. Father Yibaud, S.M., and devotions in the evening. On Sunday morning, at 10.30, there was Solemn High Mass sung by Father S. Father Kelly, G.SS.R., preached several sermons on the Blessed Eucharist, which, needless to say, were much appreciated by the large ‘congregations. It must be gratifying to our worthy priests to see the great numbers of confessions that were heard, and Communions received. On Monday morning (All Souls’ Day) there was Mass at 9 o’clock, sung by Rev. Father Yibaud, S.M. Rev. Fathers Kelly, C.SS.R., S. Mahoney, S.M., and N. Moloney, S.M., formed the choir. The Sisters of St. Joseph, who always arrange the altars, are to be highly congratulated upon the artistic adornment of the high altar. '
