< TURNBULL—HESLIN. : l ; A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at the Sacred Heart Church, N.E- Valley, Dunedin, on Monday, October 26, when Mr. Albert Turnbull, of Dunedin, was married to Miss Nellie Heslin, third daughter of Mr. John Heslin,, Mataura, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. Father Kavanagh. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a very pretty dress of embroidered muslin; she also wore a veil and wreath of orange blossom, and • carried a bouquet of narcissi and maiden hair fern. The bride was attended by Miss Florrie Turnbull (sister of the bridegroom), who was attired in a dainty dress of white crepe do chine and a pretty hat of pale pink chiffon. She carried a bouquet of white and pale pink flowers. Mr. Wm. Heslin, (brother of the bride) was best man. After the, ceremony the guests were entertained at the .Waratah Tea Rooms, where the wedding breakfast was served. The happy couple left by the afternoon express for the south, the bride travelling in a navy blue costume and a silk and floral chiffon hat.' The presents were numerous and included several substantial cheques. O’SULLIVAN—SIEMONEK. A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Patrick’s Church, Master ton, on Wednesday, October 28, when Mr. Charles O’Sullivan, eldest son of MrJohn O’Sullivan, of. Richmond, Christchurch, was • married to Miss Catherine Siemonek, only daughter of Mr. Francis Siemonek, of Upper Plain, Masterton. The ceremony was performed by the Very Rev. Dean McKenna. The bride,- who was given away by her father, was attired in a pretty brown tailor-made costume and Dolly Varden hat, and was attended by Miss Eva ; Ford ' and - Miss Kitty Wickers (cousins 'of the bride) as bridesmaids. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Arthur Jamieson, of Taihape, as best man, and Mr. Jacob -Rzoska, of Masterton, as groomsman. The bride’s I present to the bridegroom was a gentleman’s dressing case, whilst the bridegroom’s present to the bride was a beautiful gold pendant set with diamonds Tind emeralds, and to the bridesmaids ruby and pearl crescent brooches. . • After the ceremony f , the guests adjourned. to the Wenvor Rooms, where s a sumptuous breakfast was partaken of; and after the usual toasts i were honored the happy couple left by the. afternoon itrain for Wellington, . en roufie to Rotor : where "the {honeymoon was to be spent.
