At the annual meeting of the Christchurch Competitions Society a letter was received from the Dresden Piano Co., offering to establish a pianoforte. scholarship in connection with the Competitions. The scholarship is to be called The Dresden Piano Company’s Scholarship, and is to apply to competitors in Section—(ls years and under 18 years), and entitles the winner to one year’s free tuition with any teacher under whom the candidate elects to place himself or herself. The company further, generously furnishes a music studio and piano for the use of teacher and pupil free of charge
