WEDDING BELLS
DOYLE—LOUGHNAN.
A very pretty wedding was solemnised at the Catholic Church, Hunterville, on June 3, by the Rev. Father Doolaghty, when Miss Margaret Annie Loughnan, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J Loughnan, was united in the bonds of Matrimony to Mr. M. J. Doyle, Railway Department, Ohingaiti. The bride, who was given away by her father, was beautifully attired in duchesse satin, prettily trimmed. She wore the customary veil and wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful bouquet of white chrysanthemums. The bride was attended by her two sisters (Misses Agnes and Kathleen Loughnan), who wore cream silk dresses and blue velour hats, and carried pretty bouquets of white chrysanthemums. They also wore gold brooches, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. D. Myeis, of Ohakune, as best man. The guests were afterwards entertained at breakfast at Mr. Dallas’.tearooms. The happy couple left for Wellington, whore the honeymoon was spent. The bride’s travelling dress was a navy blue tailor-made costume, and blue'velour hat with white ostrich feathers, and a set of furs, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride’s gift to the bridegroom was a silk albert with gold mounts. The presents were numerous and costly, and included many substantial cheques.
