Father Roche, C.SS.R., was in town on Friday, and in the evening he preached to the women of the Sacred Heart Confraternity. The social held on Wednesday evening in aid of the choir funds was a decided success. . There were two candidates for the position of Mayor this year. Mr. J. A. Nash was re-elected by a large majority. This is the seventh year in succession that Mr. Nash has held office. •
