MARIST BROTHERS’ SCHOOL, TIMARU

(From our own correspondent.) ■ December 22. The annual concert by the pupils of the Marist Brothers’ School, Titnaru, took place in the Choral Hall on Wednesday evening, December 17. There was a crowded house, and the programme.provided was of a high-class nature. The major portion of the evening was devoted to a dramatic sketch, entitled ‘ Robert Emmet,’ the roles being taken by Masters Leo Brosnahan, Neil Murphy, J. Conroy, Frank D’Arcy, C. Lynch, G. O’Brien, D. Choxford, W. Vertue, F. Sullivan, R. Vertue, and G. King. Among the other boys who. took a prominent part in the entertainment were Masters W. and J. Reilly, E. Kirk, and J. Crowley. Miss E. Dennehy led the orchestra, and Master G t O’Meeghan played the accompaniments.
