Eltham

(From our own correspondent.) November 28. The Catholics of Eltham and Kaponga are making: strenuous preparations for the bazaar which opens in the Eltham Town Hall on the Saturday before Christmas, and finishes on that day week. Shunting operations were being carried on, which were not noticed by the three men, and, without any warning, they were caught between two trucks, Mr. Walsh having his legs cut off, whilst his two companions were killed. Mr. Walsh was 24 years of age, and until recently resided with his parents, for whom much sympathy is felt. The deceased’s body will be brought here for interment. Mrs. Walsh and her daughter left for Forbes last week, only to learn on .their arrival at Sydney of the sad news. The Walsh family are prominent in all Church activities in Eltham, and the congregation have the deepest sympathy with them in their very sad bereavement. It is a great consolation, however, to know that this most exemplary young map lived to receive the rites (of the Church,Jl.J.P,
