(From our own correspondent.) October 5. Mr. G. Pallairet, a well known musician of Gisborne, has been appointed conductor of St. Mary’s Choir, in place of Mr. F. Hale resigned. The Jubilee was concluded here on Sunday, A large number approached the Holy Table, and made the necessary visits to secure the plenary indulgence. The Blessed Sacrament was exposed from the second Mass until after Vespers, after which there was a procession of the .blessed Sacrament. The many friends of Rev. Father Carran will hear with regret that he has not benefited by the change to a more congenial climate.
