Onehunga

(From our own * correspondent.)

The Onehunga Catholic Tennis Club held a very enjoyable euchre party in St, Mary’s Hall on April 18, when the hall was filled to its utmost capacity. Euchre was indulged in until about 10 o’clock, after Which supper was partaken of. Mrs. Howard won the lady’s prize (a pair of silver vases), and Mr. Robinson the gentleman’s (a pair of military hair brushes). It is with sincere regret I have to record the death of Mr. James Patten, which took place on April 23, Mr. Patten was an old' resident of Onehunga and a staunch Hibernian. A representative number of the members of the Hibernian Society attended the funeral, the interment being in St. Mary’s Cemetery.—R.l.P.
