The commission to investigate the marriage and divorce laws in the United States has collected and disclosed some startling figures. During forty years 1,850,000 divorces have been granted affecting five million personshusbands, wives, and children. In . 1912 the number of divorces amounted to 100,000, affecting 70,000 children.
