The society also set itself up as a vigilance committee, to see that no objectionable, films regarding the Catholic religion were screened without the society uttering a protest. Advantage was taken of the occasion to present Past-President Bro. J. J. L. Burke, who has just completed his term of office in the presidential chair, with a past-president's framed certificate and collar. The presentation was made by the Rev. Father C. J. Venning, S.M., who made eulogistic references to the good work of Bro. Burke as president of the branch. Bro. Burke briefly replied. • The remainder of the evening was spent socially, the following contributing items:—Bros. J. J. L. Burke, M.O'Kane, C. J. McErlean, J. J.'
