February 8. A meeting of the committee of the Blenheim Catholic •Club was held on the sth inst. in the club rooms. Mr. 1). W. O'Dwyer, the popular secretary of the club, was nominated by ballot for the Federated Executive's diploma of merit.
The news that the Rev. Father Holley and Rev. Father Venning, his assistant, were to be transferred from Blenheim came as an unpleasant surprise to the neople of this district. The assets exceed the liabilities by £225 lis Bd. The following officers were elected:—Secretary Mr. J. Le Berre; treasurer, Mr. D. W. O'Dwyer; committee, Messrs. Calder, Hindley, P. O'Connor, P.
