ST. MARY'S CONVENT, WELLINGTON

The Guildford Terrace School was crowded with parents, friends, and pupils, when the prizes won by the boarding and day pupils of St. Mary's Convent High School were distributed by his Grace Archbishop Redwood. The proceedings opened with a very enjoyable concert by the pupils, and at a later stage of the proceedings his Grace gave a brief address. He mentioned that the school had been inspected during the week by Mr. W. Gill, Inspector of Secondary Schools, whose report was entirely satisfactory. He added that, owing to the removal of the orphange to Upper Hutt, the school premises would next year be considerably enlarged and be far more commodious than at present.
