WEDDING BELLS
CAMPBELL— A very pretty and interesting wedding (writes an occasional correspondent) took place at the Catholic Cathedral, Christchurch, on October 26, the contracting parties being Mr. Patrick James Campbell, only son of Mr. Daniel Campbell, of Spreydon, an old and esteemed supporter of the Tablet, and Miss Mary Ann Tourish, eldest daughter of Mr. John Tourish, of Addington. The Rev. Dr. Kennedy officiated at the ceremony and celebrated the Nuptial Mass. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in a gown of cream lustre. She also wore a wreath and veil, and carried a beautiful bouquet of lily of the valley. The bride was attended by her sisters, the Misses Margaret and Rose Tourish, and Miss Mary Campbell, sister of the bridegroom. Mr. Henry Sloan acted as best man, and Mr. Charles Tourish as groomsman. As the bridal party was leaving the church the Wedding March was played. The breakfast was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. The happy couple, accompanied by the good wishes of their many friends, left by the evening train on their honeymoon. The presents received were numerous and costly, and included several substantial cheques.
