BEHIND 'Tis well to think, O girls and boys I Ere many years pass o'er you, With life, and all its cares and joys, Its good and illj before you, That all the riches you may gain To earth can 'never bind you, — That wealth upon the land or main You'll one day leave behind you. And all your meed of praise and fame, And all your rounds of pleasure, And merited or wrongful blame In full or niggard meastire; And all the wrongs to which time may Have or have not resigned you, — All earthly bliss or bale one day You'll leave far, far behind you.
