A very pretty wedrKnfe (writes our Reef ton correspondent) was celebrated at the Sacred Heart Church Keefton, on April 28, by the Rev. Father Galerne, when Mr. William P. Payne, of Greymouth, son of Mr. P. L Payne, Stationmaster, Ciu-istchurch, was uni.ted in the bonds of Matrimony to Miss Louisa Gi u , granddaughter of Mirs. Cereseto,, Reef ton. The bride, who looked charming, was attired in a grey tweed costume, and wore a white felt ha-t. bhe was attended by Miss Mary Egan ,(of Greymouth), and was given away by her uncle, Mr. Anglo Cereseto. Mr. J. Ginder acted as best man. The bridegroom presented both bride and bridesmaid with gold brooches. The bride's gifttotlie bridegroom was a set of gold sleeve links. After " the ceremony the guests adjourned to the residence of Mrs. * Cereseto, where the wedding breakfast was held, and *the usual toasts duly honored. The presents were.numc/l'ous and costly, . testifying in the most convincing 'mamner to the esteem and respect in which' the' bride and' bridegroom are held by their numerous friends. ■ .Later in the afternoon the young couple left by the. afternoon train en route for Christchurch and Dunedin, on thelir honpvmoon trip.
