The Late Sergeant Twomey, Onehunga
The remains of the late Sergeant Twomey (says the * Manawatu Daily Times ') were laid to rest in the , Fedlding Cemetery yesterday afternoon (January 30), and were followed by a large concourse of friends and relatives of decrased. The body was brought to Feilding by the three o'clock train and was then transferred into the" ♦ f L arse u nd immediately conveyed to the cemetery .via ,f the Catbholid Church, where the Rev. Father O'Mfeara officiated. A posse of police in uniform,' under Inspector Wilson, Sergts. Bowden and Burke acted as pall bearers. Th- Rev. Father O'Meara also read the burial service at the graves Me. One noticenfole feature of the lengthy cor'ege was the fact that "it contained many ' old rpsidmts of the •district.
