It was gratifying to him to see by the papers their success at the Royal Academy and Trinity College musdcjil examinations, but he had evident proof of their good training this evening by the magnificient singing, and ths really good execution of the pupils at the piano and violin. One remarkable feature of the school was the politeness and general refinement of manners of the children, to which he was glad to tell them, his attention had been drawn, by outsiders during the past year. Havina; thanked Mr. Marlow for the lively interest manifested by him in the work carried out by the Sisters of Mercy, South Dunedin, he wished the children pleasant holidays, a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
