ST. BRIDE'S CONVENT, MASTERTON

There was a very large attendance in St. Patrick's Schoolroom, Master ton, on - the occasion of the annual breaking-up concert by the pupils of St. Bride's Convent. The. Very Rev. Dean McKenna congratulated the -pupils and their teachers on the excellent result's of the year's ■ work. In the many classes of importance conducted at the Convent, not a single failure had ' been recorded, and such a result, said the chairman, showed not only how good had been the tuition, but .how apt had been the pupils. In the music, shorthand, painting, and book-keeping sections of the curriculum excellent

work had been accomplished, .and the success of the pupils was creditable to them in the highest degree. The following very interesting, and enjoy&nle programme was rendered during the evening.
