"' * - There was' a large- congregation , at the v 10.30 Mass on Sunday, when the Rev. Father Creagh preached an eloquent sermon. He also preached in the^ evening, when there was another large attendance. ' Arrangements for the forthcoming bazaar in aid of the presbytery fund are well forward" 1 . It is to be opened qn-^Boxing Day by Mr. Flatman, M.P., and, as the various committees Have been working very hard, it is anticipated that it will be a great success.
The annual conceit in aid of the Catholic schools was^ given in tire " V olunteer Hall on Monday evening, 16, by the " pupils of St. Joseph's - School. The weather was perfect, and the hall* was crowded, which showed the interest that was taken in the concert. • The programme was -a lengthy die, and consisted of pianoforte njusic, songs, and dramas. All the 'items were well received, and as all the performers were very young- their success reflected very creditably- on ~ 'their teachers. However, the- Sisters were well rewarded for their "efforts, as it was one of tlie most " successful entertainments held in Tenmka. for a long time.
