(From our own correspondent.) March 7. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament took place last Sunday from the last Mass untrl Vespers. Another member of the St. Mary's Catholic Club, Mr. Charles J. . Shanahan, has left Wanganui for Palmerston North. All members wish /him success- in his new position with the Loan and Mercantile Company. I regret to report the death, of Mr. Philip Daley, of Putiki, who passed away on March 4. The deceased, -who was 6.0 years of age, was a very 01-parishionero lparishioner of St. Mary's, and was greatly respected. The • family have, the sincere sympathy of all 1 who knew the deceased. The funeral was largely attended.— R.I.P. Wanganui will socn have trams, as the consulting engineer, Mr. F. H. Chamiberlain, of Christctourch, handed in- his plans and specifications to the Borough Council on Saturday. It was resolved to call tenders on June 1, to be advertised locally, in the four principal cities of the Colony, and also in Sydney and Melbourne. The Council _placed on record its appreciation of the manner in which Mr. Chamfberlain ha>d executed and drawn up his plans and specifications, which reflected great credit on him and his assistants.
