(From an occasional correspondent.) April 17. The altar hoys of at. Mary's held their picnic (which was organised by Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Hunt) at Long Acre Valley, aoout seven miles from Wanganuv Jhe usual out-door games and races were provided The principal winners were U. Morgan, J. Robinson,' H. Hunt, and W. Neylon. After partaking of the refresh- ™ el !! S i, Were looked afler b y Miss Leydin and Mrs. McMahon, the boy& were driven to Mrs. Hunt's residence, wheie they weie hospitably entertained, and thence they adjourned to St. Mary's Hall, where Mr H tdsen gave a gramaphone entertainment, interspersed \\ith songs by Key. Father Mnhoney, Messrs S Stafford and L. Loftus, piano solo by Mrs. beo Dunflot violin solo by Mr. Horrip Hunt. Brother Virgilius caused great l a u r htcr with his interpretation of the Lrhost scene. The convent orphan children and the boarders were also delighted with the evenings entertainment. Very Key.
