Professor Gilbert Murray, whose translation of -.the Electra of Euripides has just been presented at the Court Theatre, -London, was born in Sydney in 1866-, and is the third son of the late Sir Terence Aubrey Murray. He studied at Oxfor-d, was for a time' Professor of Greek at, Glasgow University, and is one of Britain's! foremost Hellenic scholars. He is brother of Lieut.-Cjol.
