Messrs. Nimmo and Blair report as follows :—
Wheat.— There is poor inquiry for milling wheat, while all lines of fowl wheat coming forward find ready sale on arrival. We quote : Prime milling, 3s Id to 8s 2d ; best whole (owl wheat, 2s lOd to 29 ild per bushel (sacks extra)* Oats..— The supply is not by any means equal to the demand, which is firm for all grades. We quote : prime milling, is Bi<l to Is 9d ; good to best feed, is 7sd to Id Bfrd per bushel (sacks extra). Chaff.— Prime oaten sheaf is in good demand ; inferior and medium qu&Hty*is difficult to quit. We quote —Prime woll-cut oaten, from '£3 5s to £3 10s per too (sacks extra). Potatoes.— Supplies still continue to come forward in small quantities, which keeps the market very firm. We qtiote ; Prime Derwents, from £11 to £ll"lVb per ton. Bgjgs.— To-day's demand is limited at W per dozen, buyers not feeling inclined to give above B fcd per dozen Butter.—Scarce. Dairy prints, 8d ; prime milled, 8d to 9d ; separator in half and one-pound prats, 9d to 10d per tt>. Poultry.— ln strong request. Hens, 2s fcj to 8s 6d • cooetera, 83 to 4s ; ducks, 3s to 4s per pair ; turjeeys, hens, 5d to gd ; gobblers, 7id to 8d (live weight); Messrs , Stronarb, Morris, and Co. report :— Oats.— Supplies offering are small, aU arrivijagj being rebtiUy sofd. Quotations :— Special seed lines, 2s to 2s 3d ; good do, Is lOd to 2s ; prime milting, Is B\A tp Is 'Jd ; good to test feed, Is 7*4 to Is B l'd ; medium and Interior* 1b s}d to Itf 6^d per bushel, WJteat.— Business is quiet in this cereal, and prices remain the same, viz : Seed lines, 3s Sd to 3s 6d ; prime milling, 3s Id to 3s 2d ; good to medium, 2s lid to 3s; beat Whole fowl wheat, 2s lOd to 2s lid ; ttroken ap d&rriagea, 2s 5d to 2s Bd. Potatoes.— The.re is a good enquiry, and anything coming fqrw&rd is readily placed.
