(From an occasional correspondent.)

August 10. Last Sunday being the feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord, a procession of the Blessed Sacramtont tool? place m the evening. The Technical School, which has been in course of construction for some time past, is now completed, ana vail be ready for use in a few weeks. Yesterday Mr. O'Brien, of the West Coast, presented to the cjlrurcn a very nice picture of Our Lady Of Perpetual Succor.

The usual fortnightly meeting of the Children of Mary took place last Sunday, and was well attended. The Rev. Father O'Dwyer, who presided, spoke in high terms of the good which these meetings did, and Urged all to attend regularly. The Sisters of Our Lady of Missions contemplate holding a cazaar early next year. They have already engaged the services of Signor Boarzoni. Everyone should assist, as the proceeds go to defray the cost of an additional building at the girls' orphan-age. The Marlborough football team has been here for a few days. They drove out to the Stoke Orphanage last Sunday afternoon, and were met by the Rev. Father G. Matoony, who kindly threw the building open for their inspection ana provided afternoon tea. On Monday evening a social was given by the junior CathoKc choir, and was largely attended, Rev. Father Clancy presiding. The programme was an excellent one and reflected much credit on the Sisters and Miss Duff, who trained the children. After the concert Father Clancy thanked *all those who had assisted.
