OBITUARY

MRS. F. S. MURCHISON, WAIKAIA.

It is With sincere regret (writes a ooirre|s'pondent) that I have to record the death of Mrs. Murchison, wife of Mr. F. S. Murchison, Waikaia, which took, place at Inveroargill on August 8. Mrs. Murchison was the youngesjto daughter of the late Mr. < Angus JVlacdonell, Glengarry, Invernesshire, and was born 54 years ago. During the last 25 years she had lived at Wailcaia, where she was highly respected. Attout a month ago she went tio InvercargSll for medical treatment!, and during her illness was attended >by the Very Rev. Bean Burke and Rev. Father Lynch, from whom she received the last rites of the Church. The body of the deceased was brought to Waikaia for interment, and at St. Aid&n's Church a Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of the deceased was celebrated by the Rev. Father Keenan, who also officiated at the grave. The funeral cortege was one of the largest ever seen in the diserict.- The deceased leaver a husband, five sons, three daughters, and three brothers — Messrs. Ewen Maedonell (Napier), and Alexander and Archibald Maodonell (Waikaia) — to mourn her loss.— R.l.P,
