Quite 7UIK) pexsxms were present at the concert at the Albeit Hall, London, on November 17, organised by Father Bernard Vaughan, in aid of poor children in London. Father Vaugtian secured the .services of Madame Adrlrna Patti, Miss Ada Crossley, and Mr. SaMley, a truly magnificent trio. They were \ocifcrously encored, and very graciously re-appeared again and again. Father Vaughan delivered a brief address, in which he referred to the no-os.sity lor the bettor lousing of the working classes in order that the children might develop into worthy citi ons. Madame Patti, in losponse to a fourth encore, sang ' Home, Sweet Home,' as she only can si,ng it, and was raptmroqsly applauded. Its renjdering was indeed a revelation of the effect which can be pradjeed by an exquisitely superb voice.
