Our Nelson, Timaru, and West Coast readers will be interested to hear ot the success of Miss Marie Fraser (Nelson) in the pursuit of her musical studies in the Royal College of Music, London. Miss Fraser (who was a former pupil of St. Columcille's Convent, Hokitika) is now in her second term and a's studying .theory, instrumental music, and voice culture. At the close of her nrst term her singing teacher, Signor Vislsetti, described the young vocalist, in the course of a highly flattering report, as a most painstaking pupil, and Sir Hubert Pariy, the Principal of the College, said of her that her first term there was ' a most satisfactory and promising one.'
