The Language Movement

The sttody of the Irish language has been warmly taken up and is flourishing amongst the Irish residents in the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. It is announced in this year's programme for Irish National schools that the Commissioners have appointed a special staff of Irish Inspectors whose sole duty will be to examine in Irish. This is an important concession and shows how determined the people are to learn their native language.
