WEDDING BELLS.

TOHILL— o'KANE. On Wednesday of last week (says the ' Tuapeka Times') there was a large attendance 'at the Catholic Church, Waitahuna, to witness the marriage of Miss Fiances O'Kane, youngest daughter of the late Mr Patrick O'Kanc to Mr. I). Tohill, of Dunedin. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Gearv. The altar was tastefully decorated with flowers for the occasion by the lady friends of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. W O'Kane, wore a pretty costume, with veil and w.reath, and carried a handsome shower bouquet. The bridesmaids were Miss •Tulia Cowen and Miss Nelly O'Kane. After the ceremony the guests dro\e off to the residence of Mr. J. J. Ryan brother-in-law to the bride, where the wedding breakfast was laid. Ihe health and happiness of the newlyninrric*! couple was proposed by the Rev. Father Geary and duly acknowledged. In the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Tohill left by train for Dunedin, taking with them many cood wishes for their future happiness. MARTIN— O'ROUKKE. A very pretty wedding was solemniped at St. Mary's, Meanee, on January 20, by the Very Rev. Dean Binsfield, the contracting parties being Miss Margaret O'Rourke, eldest daughter of Mr B. O'Rourke, Papakura, Hawke's Buy, and Mr Joseph J Martin, cf Gisborne. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a very becoming dress of pale blue silk voile, trimmed with Maltese lace and tucked chiffon, and hat of white chiffon and ostrich feathers, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet. The bridesmaids were Misses Guy and Hanna O'Rourkjg, sisters of the bride. These young ladies were very prettily attired in white muslin, with hats to match. The bridegroom was attended by Mr J. Quinn, of Gisborne. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a handsome gold bangle with diamonds, and to the bridesmaids he presented gold and sapphire brooches. After the ceremony a large number of guests were entertained at the residence of the bride's parents. Mr and Mrs Martin left in the evening en route for Wanganui and Auckland, where the honeymoon will be sp9nt. The presents were numerous and costly. DOBBS — LA CON. Aqniet bi.t pretty weddirg (writes our Auckland correspondent) took place at the Ohuroh of the Sacred Heart, Ponsonby, on the 13th inst., when Mr Arthur Dobbs, youngest son of the late Mr William Dobb?, of Moeraki Downp, Canterbury, was joined in matrimony to Mies Maud Lacon, second daughter of the late Mr Roland Francis Lacon. The Very Rev. Dr. Egan celebrated the Nuptial Mass. Miss Ruby Lacon acted as bridesmaid, and Mr J. Finlay ac beat man. The bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr Thomas Henry Kelly, at whose residence the wedding- breakfast was partaken of by a number of relatives and friends. Mr Finlay proposed the health of the newly-wedded oouple, which was duly honored. Mr and Mrs Dobbs were the recipients of numerous and valuable presents, amongst which was a pretty silver teapot, suitably inscribed, from the St. Benedict's ohoir, of which Mr Dobbs has been a valued member during the past five years.
