MISS MART KKOdB, WAIMATB.

Quite a gloom was oast over the community on Monday, December 8 (write? our Waimate correspondent), when it became known that Miss Mary Eeogh had breathed her last. The deceased, who was only 20 years of age, won the respect of every person who ha I the pleasure of knowing her, by her gentle and courteous nmnner and great kindness and consideration for others. A Solemn Requiem Mass was offered np on Wednesday morning by the Rev. Father Regnaulb. As the remains were being taken from the church, Miss N. Wall, organist, p!uyed the Dead March. Tbe funeral was largely attended. The Rev. Fathers Regcault and O'Connell officiated at the graveside. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the residents of the district. — R.I. P.
