Napier, November 20. — The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company cable to Nelson Bros. :—: — ' Frozen meat market quotations : Canterbury mutton, 4|d ; Napier, Wellington, and North Island, 4|d. Lamb: First quality, s£d ; second, s|d.' London, November 21.*— English wheat is hardening, owing to the wintry weather ; Continental is dull, and American tending upwards. Cargoes are firmer ; Californian October and November is quoted nt 30s Gd. London, November 23. — Frozeti Meat. — Mutton :North Island, 4 11-16 d. Lamb : Canterbury, 5Jd ; Dunedin, Southland, and North Island, sgd ; other sorts and beef unchanged. River Plate sheep (heaWi 4Jd ; light and beef unchanged. Adelaide, November 24. — The wheat market is excited, owing to hifh prices in Sydney. Sales are reported as high as 5s 7d. Wellington, November 24. — The following cable has been received from the Agent-General, dated London, 22nd inst. : — ' Mutton market steady. The quantity of mutton going into consumption at present is very small. Average price to-day : Canterbury mutton, 4£d per IT> ; Dunedin, Southland, and W.M.E. Co. mutton, 4|d ; other North Island mutton, 4fd. There is a dull sale for all lamb. The weather latterly has been ver-" unfavorable to the sale of lamb. The average price to-day for New Zealand lamb is : Canterbury brands. s£d ; lamb other than Canterbury, ssd. There is a better demand for beef. Stocks of New Zealand beef on hand are light. New Zealand hinds, 5d ; fores, 4id. The butter market is steady. There is a better demand for butter; choicest, 112s. There has been no alteration in the cheese market since last weok. There is a better demand for hemp. The price for New Zealand good fair Wellington grade on the spot to-day is £32 10s per ton ; December-February shipments, £30.' Mr. F. Meenan, King street, reports : — Wholesale prices only— Oats : Milling, 2s 7d to 2s 9d ; feeding, 2s 2d to 2s Bd. Wheat (good demand) : Milling, 4s to 4s 3d ; fowls', 3s 4d to 4s Id. Potatoes : Prime Derwents, £6 ; old kidneys, £4 10s. Chaff : Inferior to medium £3 to £3 10s ; prime, £5 sb. Straw : Pressed, £1 15s ; loose, £2. Flour : 2001 b sacks, £11 10s ; 501 b, £12 ss; 25tb, £12 10s. Oatmeal: £2oTb, £13 10s. Bran, £7. Pollard, £7. Butter : Dairy, 8d to lOd ; factory, lid. Cheese : Dairy, 6d ; factory, 6id. Eggs, lOd. Onions : Melbourne, £7 10s.
