On Thursday evening the annual reunion of tbe Association was held in St. Joseph's Schoolroom, whfln a good pro* gramme of m usic and reoitations was well rendered. The evening passed off moot pUasantly. At the 11 o'clock Mass at St. Patrick's Basilica, South Dunedin, on Sunday, the choir, assisted by members of the Musgrove Op ru Company, gave an excellent rendering of WeberV Mass in *>. The solo parts were sung by Miss Katie Strhafe (soprano), Mr Brigge (basr) Mr C. Rattray and Mr E. Eager (tenors), and Mrs E. Eager (alto). The singing of the 'Gloria,' wtiere the soprano soloist shows to Fuoh advantage in the lime runs, was a great treat, and Miss Schafe used her powerful voice with beautiful effect. The weekly meeting of St. Joseph's Ladies 1 Club was held ou Wednesday of laßt week in St. Joseph's Hall, when there was a very large attendance present. The member* taking part in the operetta, which is to be produced shortly, held their usual weekly rehearsal, and the varioua classes connected with the olub continaed their course of instructive usefulness. A pleasant feature of the even* ing's proceedings was the presentation from the members of a handsome sovereign case, well filled and suitably insoribed, to Mr 0. Fotterell, as a token of appreciation of the many valuable eervioes so readily given by him on all occasions towards the farthering of the club's progress. The Rev. Father Mutphy, Adm., who was present during the evening, kindly made the presentation ou behalf of the donors, and alluded to the handsome manner in whioh Mr Fotterell's services had been so suitably reoogniard. Mr Fotterell thanked the ladies for their very valuable gift, which came aa a surprise to him, and raid he felt pleased that any litt'-e service renderei by him had assisted the olub in attaining Buoh a prominent position among the Catholic societies in Dauediu.
