WEDDING BELLS.

On Wednesday of last week (writes a correspondent) the church of St. Mary of the Angels, Wellington, was the scene of a pretty wedding, when Miss Sarah Roche Lawlor, youngest daughter of Mrs Lawlor, late of Invercargill, and sister of Mr D. R. Lawlor, of Ardfert House, Cuba street, was married to Mi John Joseph Parker, sheep-farmer, of Wairoa, Hawke's Bay, second son of Mr Christopher J. Parker, of Emerald Hillß, Te Arai, Gisborne. The ceremony, which was performed by tbe Yen. Archdeacon Dovoy, 8.M., took place at 9 a.m. before the Nuptial Mass. The bride was given away by her brother. She was dressed in a Bilver grey cashmere travelling costume, with pearl silk trimmings and hat to match, and waß attended by her niece, Miss Mary Lawlor, who with her Bister, Miss B. Lawlor, wore grey cashmere, with Batin trimmings. The best man was Mr R. H. Parker. Amongst those preBent at the ceremony were the Hon. James Carroll, Mr and Mrs 0. J. Parker, sen. (Gisborne), Mrs D. Roche (Invercargill), and Miss S. Murphy (Gisborne). Archdeacon Devoy predided at the wedding breakfast, which was held at the residence of Mr D. R. Lawlor, and propoied the health of the bride and bridegroom. The wedding presents were numerous and valuable, including a buggy and set of harness.
