In conformity with arrangements made at the First Provincial Synod held in Wellington in 1899 this seminary has bten established lor the education of students from all parts of this Colony who agpire to the ecclesiastical state. It is situated at Mosgiel (about 10 miles from Dunedin) in the fine building hitherto known as Mosgiel House, which with the 11 acres of rich park land surrounding it, was purchased for use as ecclesiastical seminary for the whole of New Zealand. The institution is under the patronage and direction of the Archb. shops and Bishops of New Zealand, and under the immediate personal supervision of the Right Rev. Dr. Verdon, who acts as Rector.
