HONEYMOON.
The honeymoon is an early Anglo-Saxon custom, which wm strictly followed by all newly-married couples, and consisted of drinking diluted honey for 30 days after marriage — possibly with the idea of keeping their tempers sweet. This custom gave rise to the word ' honeymoon ' or ' honey month.'
