WEXFORD.— A Ninety-eight Memorial.

A meeting of the Wexford '98 Monument Committee was held on May 4 for the purpose of arranging as to the contract for the monument. The model of Mr. John Hughes, sculptor , Dublin, was approved of. It is expected that the work will be completed in 12 months, and it was agreed, on the motion of the Mayor of Wexford (Mr. Benjamin Hughes, J. P.) that the ceremony of un veiling take place on Whit Sunday, May 18th, 1302. That day will be the 104 th anniversary of the day on which the Wexford insurgents unfarled the green flag and took the field. The monument will cost £600.
