The following are charitable bequesto mentioned in the will of the late Mr. John Smiley Howden, of Ivermore. Lame : — To the seven churches of Lame, viz., First Lame Presbyterian Church, Garden more Presbyterian Church, Methodist Church, Catholic Uhurch, CongreK»uouiii Cuurou, Lame ami luver Taiinh Church, and old Presbyterian Meeting House, £500, to be divided in tqual shares tor the poor of »jach of the ouuffreg nous ; Larue «ud liivtr Schools, £250 ; Lame District Nursing Society, £250 ; Lame Grammar Sch >01, £250.
