Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report as follows :—
Oats — We submitted a small catalogue, mostly medium quality, for which there was poor competition from a small gathering of buyers. We quote : Prime milling, Is lOJd to Is lid ; good to best feed, Is 9d to Is lOd ; medium and inferior, Is 8d to lsßJd per buehel (Backs extra). Wheat — Prime milling of all sorts is in fair demand at late quotations. For medium quality there is no inquiry. Fowl wheat is offering freely at late values. We quote : Prime milling, 2s 5d to 2s 6d : medium, 2s 2d to 2a 4d ; fowl wheat (whole), Is lid to 2s; broken and damaged, Is 9d to Is lOd per bushel (sacks in). Potatoes— Heavier supplies came forward for to-day 'a sales, and values show a slight decline on late rates. Best Derwents sold at L 2 12s 6d to L 2 15s ; others, L 2 10s per ton (sacks in). Chaff— The market is moderately supplied, and all offered today met with fair competi ton and was quitted at satisfactory prices. Best oaten sheaf sold at L 3 to L3ss ; fair to good, L 2 15s to L 2 17s 6d ; medium and inferior, L2oa to L 2 10s per ton (bags extaa).
