OBITUARY.

MISS. ENGLISH. WAIKOUAITI. We record with deep regret the death of Mrs. English, wife of Mr. Thomas English, of Island Farm, Waikouaiti, on February 1"> The deceased lady was highly respected and very popular, and her demise, which occurred at the comparatively early age of .">."> years, caused general regret in the district. Mr. English and family have the sincere sympathy of a large circle of friends in their bereavement. The funeral took place on Saturday, the service at the cemetery being conducted by the Rev. Father McMullan. — 1i.1.P. MR\ OVONNDLL, SEACLirr. General regret was felt at the announcement of the death of Mrs O'Connell, wife of Mr. Daniel O'Connell, which occurred at her residence. Seachff. on Friday morning. The deceased, who had attained the age of sixty year*, was an old and highly esteemed settler, having been a resident of the Colony for many jears. Besides her husband she leaves a family of ten children to mourn their lot-s. Mrs. Sheehy (Moonlight), 'Mrs. Kelly (Oamaru), Mrs. Toomey (Waikouaiti), and Mrs. Henry Coughlan (Dunedin) are daughters. Of the sons Messis. James and John O'Connell .ire residents in Otago. The interment took place on Sunday at the Waikouaiti Cemetery, when the Rev.
