WEDDING BELLS.
KYAN — WIXCEY.
A mauuiage which excited a good deal of interest (writes an occasional correspondent) was celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Wanganui, on July 31, the contracting parties being Mr. W. Ryan, second son of Mrs. Ryan, Wilson street, and Miss Phoebe w ixcey, eldest daughter of Mr. Thomas Wixcey, one of our most respected Catholic citizens. The ceremony was performed by the Very Rev. Dean Kirk, who also celebrated a Nuptial Mass. The bride was away by her father, and attended by her little sister Lucy and Miss Freda Reany as bridesmaids, Mr. W. Ryan acting as best man. The bride's oostunie was white cashmere with white satin bodice. Miss Lucy Wixcey looked very nice in pale pink, and wore a handsome curb bracelet, the gift of the bridegroom. Miss Reany was attired in hailstone muslin, and wore a brooch of gold doves, set in pearls, the gift of the bridegroom. On the wedaing party leaving the church, Mrs. Lloyd, with her usual courtesy, played the ' Wedding March.' The wedding breakfast was held at Mr. Wixcey's residence, where the Very Rev. Dean Kirk proposed the health of thf bride and bridegroom. The usual complimentary toasts followed. 'Only the immediate friends and relatives of the family were present. The presents were both costly and numerous.
