FORM OF CONSECRATION TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS.

Most Sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human racp, look down upon us humbly prostrate^, before Thine altar. We are 'linn-, and Thine we would ever be : nevertheless, that we may be moie surely united with Thee, behold here to-day each one of us freely consecrates himself to Thy Sacnd Heart. Many, indeed, have never known Thee; many, too, despise Thy precepts, and have i ejected Thee. Have mercy on them all, most mproiiul Jepus, and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart. Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children who have turned their backs upon Thee ; grant that they may quickly return to their Father's house, lest they di<> of wretchedness and hunger. Be Thou King of those who have been beguiled by error or whose affections have been turned aside, and call them back to the haitour of truth and the unity of the faith.

Be Thou King also of all those who still sit in the ancient superstition of the Gentiles, and refuse not Thou to deliver them out of darkness int-i the Ji^ht and Kingdom of God Granr,, O Lord, to Thy Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm ; give peace and order to all nations, vi.d mak<* the earth resound from Pole to Pole with one word ; Praise to th" Divine Heart that wrought our salvation ; to It be glory and honour for ever. — Amen.
