We referred with unavo dabl« brevity ia our last issue to the fine entertainment which was riven in the Foresters' Hall, Port Chalmers, on December 2, by the pupils of th-i Sisters of St. Joseph. The programme provide 1 was very varied and interesting, the performance reached a good all-round iev*'l of txc 'Hence, and was witnessed by a good attendance of people Irorn the i own and surrounding distri- ts. Among the visitors were his Lordship the Bishop of Dunedin and the editor of the N.Z. Tablet. Among the instrumental sel etioos were pianoforte duets t-y the Misses E. Three choruses were reudered in good style, one of them with an amusing solo part by Master L. MoCann, in character (■ Tommy Topweight '), and another (' All Hail, Zealandia ') with a very tif-etivo duet. A Kjore of little boys gave a very droll rendering oi an action son », • Laujhing,' which was balanc d by a sweet little acini! -ditty (■ Helping Mother') by a number of little girls. The farce. ' My Aunt s Heiress,' was rendered in capital style by the Misses L. Heller, T. Mullaney, M. Albertson, A. Anderson, M. King, C. Fiti-patriok. M. Hart, V. Gustafsou, B. O'Conneli, E. Borlas**, and N. An ersou, and cheated great .amusement.

There was likewise a cantiU, 'The White Garland,' which was finely rend 'red and well r ceived. The grouping and colour-effect were excellent, and the principal parts were sustained by the Misses L.
