Messrs. Donald Reid and Co. report as follows :—: — Oats— We submitted fair to good feed lines. Competition was not animated, but values ruled about on a par with late quotations, good feed selling at 2s o>d to 2s Id ; medium, Is lOd to 2s per bushel i, sacks extra). Wheat— The market for milling- quality continues quiet, only choice samples being in request We offered several lines of fowl wheat to-day, which sold at 2s 9d to 3s per bushel (sacks in). Potatoes— Our catalogue comprised fair to pood Derwentp, both northern and southern. The demand was slisjhtly brisker and best lots changed hands at L 5 15s to L 6 ; medium to pood, L 5 to L 5 10s ; small and inferior, L 3 10s to L 4 10s per ton (sacks in). Chaff — Best oaten sheaf met with good competition, but any other quality was not in request. We sold best at L 3 10s to L 3 lia 6d ; medium to good, L 3 to L 3 7s 6d per ton (bags extra). Messrs. Stronach Bros, and Morris report as follows : Wheat— There has been a slightly better inquiry during the week, but prices show no improvement. Quotations :— Prime milling velvet, 4s to 4s Id : medium, 3s lOd to 3s lid ; prime Tuscan and red sorts, 3s lid to 4s ; medium, 3s 9d to 33 lOd ; fowl wheat 2s 6d to 3s 2d per bushel t sacks in terms). ' Oats— ln fair demand. Milling, 2s 3d to 2s 5d ; good to beet feed. 2s Id to 2s 2d ; medium, 2s to 2s o£d per bushel (sacks extra.) Barley— Very little offering and values remain unchanged Pnme malting, 4s 8d to 5s Id ; medium, 4s 3d to 4s 7d • feed and milling, 2s 6d to 3s 6d per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoks— The supply has been light during the week, and price 3 are firmer. Prime Derwents, L 6 to L6ss ; medium, L 5 to Lo 15s per toa (bags in). Messrs. Edward Thomas and Co. report as follows :— Uabbitskins — Advices from Home brought the good news that a further advance in prices was paid by Home and Continental buyers. In view of this information the market here wj.s kept lively and the various lines submitted were sold at a substantial advance. A line of selected does brought up to 19|d. On the whole prices advanced fully a penny all round. Hair— Cleaif mixed at 13d. Sheepskiks — Competition eased off somewhat and prices may be quoted at from par to a farthing decline on poor and fallen pelted skins. Hides — We are still able to take any quantity and can find a ready market at top prices. Mr. F. Meenan, King street, reports : — Wholesale price only — Oats: Quiet demand; feed, la lOd to 2s Id; milling, 2s 3d to 2s 4d. Fowls' wheat, 2s 6d to 3s; milling, 3s 9d to 4s. Chaff, L 3 to L 3 10s, fair supply. Ryegrass and clover hay, L 3 15s to L 4. Straw, pressed 25s per ton ; loose, 28s. Potatoes : eased L 5 10stoL6. Flour: Roller, LI ItoLI 1 10s. Oatmeal : LI 2 10s in 251bs. Butter : Dairy, 8d to lOd ; factory, lid. Eggs, Bd. Bran, L 3. Pollard, L 4. Onions, Ll4 per ton ; Frisco, Ll7, Scarce.
